My dear patrons: We regret to inform
you all that we will be closing our doors on Sunday, December 18th,
after two years of business. Thank you for your support and we hope that the
new owners can look forward to your patronage as well.
We are moving the family to Portland
where Laura has started a wonderful new job with her career in Civil
Engineering. Unfortunately, the very modest expectation of 35 customers per day
to sustain our family in Woodland was not fulfilled. Sad testimony, considering
so many people were heard to say it was the best (fill in the blank- Benedict, biscuits and gravey, Rueben sandwich, French Dip,
tuna melt, clam chowder, etc) they have ever had. Apparently the homemade bread, farm fresh
eggs and apple wood bacon were not enough for continued support.
Nevertheless, we had a great experience
and it was a pleasure to serve you all. Best of luck to you all with the future
of Downtown Woodland.
The remaining hours are: Friday 8:30
to 2:30, Saturday and Sunday 7:30 to 2:30. Come over and say good-bye to Mark
and have one last cup of the best coffee in town.
